I recently returned to El Chupete, in The Matanza de AcentejoAnd the first thing I always say to those who ask me is that you have to go when the wine is good, because as soon as it's over, they close, there's no more turning around.
The Matanza de Acentejo · Tenerife North
Guachinche El Chupete
Recommendations of Juan
- fried rabbit, the house's strong dish
- Garbanzas
- Harvest wine
This time we went four and asked for chickpeas, party meat and fried rabbit, and as always the rations are abundant, it is eaten in excess.

The fried rabbit is still what I always ask, there does not fail Victorian, and the wine of its own harvest comes in that it tastes, although you have to be careful because it gets up fast if you don't eat at the same time.

The attention is still family, close, without haste, as it should be in a real guachinche and not in those places that are now called just by name.
That's right, as I always say, you have to go in time because the place is small and it fills up fast, especially on weekends. I usually fall for a week at noon and I avoid waiting.
The letter is not long, four or five dishes nothing more, but they're all well done and that's worth more to me than having twenty mediocre dishes.

As always, I go out saying the same thing, take advantage of it as long as the wine lasts, which as soon as it is finished, close until next year.
